A new responsive WordPress site for Curriculum for Life, designed for multi-author publishing and long-term content growth.

GMACS supports young people across Greater Manchester with tools and resources to navigate careers, well-being, and life skills through digital initiatives like “Curriculum for Life.”

They came to us with a prototype—and a mission. “Curriculum for Life” needed to engage young people with six key topics, all built into an accessible, flexible, easy-to-update platform.

The brief

The client shared a mobile site design on Figma but needed us to design the full desktop experience. The platform had to support multiple authors, display attribution at the front end, and allow content to be reviewed before going live. It needed to align with its brand guidelines and deliver a consistent user experience across six distinct content categories.

What we did

We discovered the core challenge was building something robust that remained easy for internal teams to use. We used this insight to create a modular WordPress setup with reusable templates that simplify content creation and publishing. We designed the full desktop layout based on the mobile design provided in Figma, ensuring the UX was seamless across devices. The backend included role-based access, an approval workflow, and an automatic author display on the front end. The site was hosted in a WordPress-optimised server environment to ensure optimal performance and security.

The results

We designed and built a responsive WordPress site for Curriculum for Life, using a mobile prototype as reference to create a flexible platform, tailored for multi-author content, publishing workflows, and accessible user experience.

  • Designed desktop layout from mobile design in Figma
  • Built modular WordPress templates for fast, consistent updates
  • Multi-author access with publishing review system
  • Hosted and deployed on a custom subdirectory

We delivered a clean, responsive WordPress site that brought Curriculum for Life online—structured for multi-author publishing, fully aligned with Curriculum for Life branding, and built to support long-term content expansion. It’s now an accessible information hub, built exactly around the needs outlined in the brief.
